SD Card not showing on Finder but seen in Disk Utility

Let's try an SMC reset.

You may also want to try an NVRAM reset.

SDtrouble - What are your finder preferences set for displaying locations in the sidebar? With a finder window open press command-, (command and comma) to bring up the finder preferences Select the Sidebar tab, for the time being select all options. Does your SD card show up?

Also you might want to launch Photos and see if the SD card appears there so you could import off the SD card. What storage size if the card and what format does Disk Utility say the cards are formatted in? Also which camera are you using with these SD cards?

Thank’s, the SMC reset worked perfectly

Yeah that is such a practical and user friendly solution to something that should just work...are we going backwards to ordering chains of commands like in DOS...this is a known bug that Apple has not fixed since november...you can see the SD card in disk utility, rename it, eject it and reinsert...again such a user friendly Mac solution. I guess they figure no one would ever want to use anything but Photos to import their digital media.
