iPhone 12 plug

Is the iPhone 12 supposed to come with a wall plug? All we got was the charging cable and we had to buy the plug separately. Seems like an oversight.

No oversight. It was well published that Apple was supplying cables only with iPhone's this year, without the charging brick. You could have looked at Apple's own website about what is included in the box with your phone as well.
