Ever since the new update Safari freezes when I am filling in my information in a form based website, ie. job application. Ive tried soft reset and turning off/on the phone but this issue continues. Is there any solution to this?

Password autofill is the problem. For now, go to settings-password-autofill and disable it.
You may experience same lag when you tap “autofill”.
Be careful, you may not be able to turn it on again. So if you have passwords you don’t remember, it won’t appear on keyboard. you can still look it up in settings-passwords manually.

The awful work around that I’ve found is that if you start at the bottom and work your way up you can complete it. That’s the only way I’ve found to keep it from freezing without turning off auto-fill which I refuse to do.
Okay all, I finally gave in and turned on my two factor authentication. Low and behold it fixed the issue. So basically you can either be super annoyed and keep having it freeze or you can cave to the two factor authentication and you will no longer have an issue. I hope this helps you all.
I think 14.4.1 finally fixed the problem. I bought a couple products online and filled out the forms without any problems Hope it’s the same for everyone else
I just wound up installing Chrome as my primary browser for now until it gets fixed. It’s a shame to need two browsers for high end devices and OS.

No resolution just a terrible work around; to turn off auto-fill which I’m not doing. Stupid that you need to turn off a feature in order for the program to operate properly. And they said once you turn it off you may not be able to turn it back on. I’m just using Chrome instead.
I went to an Apple technician for this. He suggested to wipe my phone completely. I did a back up using iTunes & reset my entire phone. Unfortunately, I still cannot fill out any forms. Very frustrating!
I did not enable two-factor yet I still have the problem. Lastpass & Keychain both take 20 seconds to load and now my keyboard goes blank for 30 seconds or so when trying to complete a form (ie. completing address on a purchase).
My iPhone XS Max updated to 14.4.2 two days ago.
Mine doesn’t ever unfreeze..I just have to force close Safari. Now updated to 14.4.2 and still no change! It’s strange because on some sites I can completely fill out the forms but others it freezes when I select the form line.
Still not fixed! My workaround is to use my iPad Air2 with iOS 10. 🙁
Same issue and I am currently using Chrom. Apple MUST FIX THIS.
This is clearly a problem because lots of people are complaining about it on various threads. I am upgraded to ios14.4.1 and the difficulty persists.
I'm not sure why Apple don't come out of the woodwork, admit the problem and do something about it because it really is a nuisance having to wait maybe 30 seconds for each line of a webform to unfreeze. Moreover, it seems to be a problem related to ios14 because I never had the problem for years. Why is it that so many upgrades seem to leave a trail of devastation behind them?
