Can’t read notes on new iphone

I’ve had the iPhone 12 for a week and daily I have to restart my phone to get my notes to show up. I used my notes all the time on my old phone but it’s obviously super inconvenient to restart the phone anytime you need to reference your notes. Is there going to be a fix for this?
