Siri on iPad can’t find connection but WiFi is working in other apps

Siri says can’t find connection, but other WiFi apps working. All Siri settings unchanged and seem appropriate, e.g., I can post this. What to do?

Hi Demonstr82me,

We understand you're getting some sort of connection error when you try to make a request with Siri. We're happy to help.

To start, you can try reactivating Siri. Go to Settings > Siri & Search, turn off Press Home Button for Siri. Wait a few seconds then turn it back on and test Siri.

If you have access to another Wi-Fi network, try connecting the iPad to that and test Siri. If you have any port security or firewall enabled on your Wi-Fi network, that can cause connection issues with Siri. If you have anything like that enabled, try disabling it.

If Siri is giving you an error about the network connection, you can try a network reset. Go to Settings > General > Reset and select Reset Network Settings. This will disconnect you from your Wi-Fi network, and you'll need to manually reconnect and enter your password in Settings > Wi-Fi.

You can find more info on the Siri feature here: Use Siri on all your Apple devices

If Siri still will not work, you'd want to contact Apple Support directly for assistance: Get Support

We hope this helps. Take care!
