What happens when I factory Erase my 2nd Gen Ipad

I am sending a very old Ipad to family members who need it more then I do. The thing is the ipad I use gets codes to allow me to login to other devices.

If I factory reset it, does my new Macbook get the codes or does it still send it to my old ipad even after the Factory Reset?

iPad, iOS 10

If you do all of the steps in the following procedure it will no longer send any codes to the old iPad but you will continue to get the codes on your other trusted devices: What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Your MacBook should be getting the codes as well as your iPad and other trusted devices. An additional note: I would highly recommend that you have more than one trusted phone number if you don't already. They can be Androids, landlines, a friend's or relative's phone. Please aware that many apps in the App Store no longer work on an iPad 2.

Once the iPad is wiped, the family will have the built-in Apple apps like Mail, Contacts and Safari, but will not be able to install Zoom, Netflix, Prime video, and other popular iPad apps that have moved on since the iPad 2.

I recommend that your and the family review expectations and see if needed apps are still available or iOS 9.3.5. Otherwise, the old iPad may not be worth the postage.

Our iPad 2 has a lot of those apps I mention because it has never been wiped, and the older vrersion fo thos apps remain installed. If I wipe it today, for my need that iPad becomes a stage prop.
