Can I connect my Apple watch Series 6 to my previous iPhone's camera?

I want to use my previous iPhone on a tripod to video record my dog agility competitions and control that camera remotely with my new Apple watch Series 6. My watch is currently connected to my current iPhone, and I want that to continue. All I want to use on my previous iPhone is the camera app.

Is this possible??
