I’ve spilled acetone on my new macbook air

So I’ve just spilled a little bit of acetone (nail polish remover) on my new macbook air... I’ve spilled it on like 4 keys, but the weird thing is that they’re still working. I’ve shut it down straight away and then tapped it to get as much acetone as possible out..I also got some soap and water and cleaned it, I then opened a window and put the MBP right next to it. I don’t know what to do. I’m going to wait overnight and not use it..but what happens after? I don’t have any money at all to replace it or repair it. What will happen when I open it after 12 hours, will it explode? All the keys are still working.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.0

No. I wouldn't be worried about it. Seriously.

Acetone evaporates rapidly. It might dissolve some plastic components but it won't cause corrosion like water. Whatever plastic components it affected are already damaged and won't get any more damaged, so if your Mac is working consider yourself fortunate and just keep using it.

I'd be most concerned about the key caps but if they're visually ok, aren't sticky, and they're working then you're ok.

I would not have used any soap or water, but only you could know if that liquid may have found its way inside your Mac.
