Apple care services

I have t-mobile and Apple care services is free but I’ve been paying $18 a month for the protection plan. Aren’t these essentially the same?

You need to talk to your carrier about the 360 service you are paying for but I imagine it may cover what AppleCare won’t. Possibly loss and theft (regular AppleCare+ don’t cover that). Water damage (AppleCare does not cover it and despite what many seem to think water resistant isn’t waterproof). You need to find out from your carrier what is covered and what happens if you want to cancel the coverage (your free AppleCare services may actually be part of the $18 service).

Actually...looking at the explanation clearly states what it covers. AppleCare doesn’t cover all of that.

I wish it would go into detail what exactly Apple Care Services provide. I guess that’s my issue.

When did you purchase your phone? You only have 60 days past the purchase of your phone to add AppleCare+ or AppleCare+ Theft and Loss to your phone. If you are past that time, it's academic what the differences are with the plan you pay for with T-Mobile.
