Apple does NOT get involved in lost or stolen phones. We are all provided simple tools (Find My and Activation Lock) to ensure if our phones fall in the hands of a thief or stranger they cannot use it - EVER. Since it appears you didn't use those simple tools that was a huge mistake on your part.

As deggie correctly suggests, your only option is to ask your cellular provider to blacklist your phone if they offer that option.

Thank you for the reply.

I am sure that someone stole my phone. I Left it for a minute and came right back and it was gone and turned off. I just want to disable it so it could only be a brick and totally unusable. I called my number a few days ago and someone answered. I contacted my carrier to see if the y can assist and they said the only thing they can do is disconnect the number.

the person only has to purchase another sim and insert it and they will be able to use it again.

ibwant to disable this instrument so it will be rendered useless.

is there a way to contact Apple to do this? I have my purchase invoice from the store I bought it from and I have the IMEI number.

thanks again
