Will it not damage my iPad 8 if I charge it using a regular 10w Apple Charger?

My understanding is that slower charging actually prolongs battery health. I have left the iPad charger in the box and intend to charge my iPad with the slower iPhone chargers laying around the house overnight.

That is a BAD idea.

It will take forever for your iPad to charge using that 5W Apple charger.

You can use the 10W, 12W, 18W, 20W, 30W, etc., Apple power/charging adapters with NO issues.

The iPad internal charging hardware will only take as much power as it needs to charge.

An iPad will never take the full amount of larger wattage Apple power/charging adapters.

If you have a 20W Apple power/charging adapter block, you can use that to charge your iPad, as well, but it may not fast charge, but will only take the maximum charge power it needs or can handle.
