Is there any risk to use iPhone low power mode at all time?

Hello,

I use my iPhone at 20% to 80% to slow down the battery aging. To do this it helps to use iphone on low power mode all the time. (During charging or daily use) I have no performance issue due to this restricted cpu or gpu performance due to this low power mode. The question is, do you think this usage method helps to increase the battery life or slows down the battery aging? Or is there any possibility to damage the battery if I do this at the whole life of device?

Another issue is there any way to restrict the charging at 80%? Following the iphone when it is plugged in is not so easy. In other words it is hard to observe when it reached 80% to cut the connection between the iphone and the electricity.

Hello aHusky,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! From your message we understand you're wanting to ensure that you're using your iPhone so you can slow down the aging process of the battery.

Optimized Battery Charging is a feature which allows your iPhone to learn your daily charging habits. This helps to improve the linespace of your iPhone by reducing the time it spends fully charged. Check out this article to learn more about it, including how to turn on this feature: About Optimized Battery Charging on your iPhone

All the best.

There is no benefit to using the phone between any two charge values; there is nothing that you can do to slow down battery aging except to leave the phone plugged in overnight with Optimized Charging enabled, so the overnight power usage will come from the mains rather than the battery. Optimized charging will stop charging at 80%, then resume so the phone will reach full charge about the time you are ready to use it.
