iPhone 12 Pro Max Camera shutter goes off by itself

My iPhone 12 Pro Max Camera shutter goes off and screen captures by itself sporadically whenever it set it down. It is really weird and doesn’t happen all the time. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hey Cdaver,

We're glad you thought to ask Apple Support Communities about the issue you're having with screenshots being taken when setting your iPhone down. It sounds like you may have the "Back Tap" feature turned on. There are many tasks that can be completed by tapping the back of your iPhone two or three times, depending on the settings. Check to see if this is what's happening by following this guide: Use Back Tap on your iPhone

Keep us posted!

Take care.
