When my MacBook Pro is shut down (not asleep), pressing any key on the keyboard starts it up. It seems strange to me that this would be expected behavior.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Unfortunately this is the new normal and there is no way to disable the feature. Many users hate this feature as it makes cleaning the keyboard impossible. You can leave product feedback here:
