Hot Spot Data usage.

When my WIFI on my hotspot runs out of data. I use my Phone but it asks to use a WIFI or Bluetooth and USB. If I select WIFI does it use the WIFI usage data on the Hot Spot as well? Why? I can get to the Internet with my phone.

There is something missing in your post. You cannot use HotSpot data for your iPhone from your iPhone. When you use your iPhone then you are using network data for internet use by your iPhone. Are other devices using HotSpot Data from your iPhone and that has run out? If that is the case then your iPhone should still be able to use Mobile Data for itself and get on the internet.

As you can tell, I am confused by your post and am having difficulty understanding your scenario. Can you provide more details? Thanks.

Let me explain the very basics of creating a HotSpot with your iPhone. Note that the HotSpot on your iPhone has no connection with the HotSpot that you may be using with your Laptop and TV (I assume that is separate HotSpot device).

When you turn ON the HotSpot in your iPhone then you have to create a Network that other devices can join. That Network is created when you Turn Wi-Fi to ON in your iPhone. The name of that Wi-Fi Network, that your other devices can join, is generally the name of your iPhone. Devices that connect to your iPhone's hotspot will use your HotSpot allotted data by your Mobile service provider. Call your Mobile service provider for more information. Most mobile service provider have separate amount of data allotted for the hotspot feature.
