launch pad

is there a way when I use launch pad to launch a pad and then when I go back, it shows the Home Screen instead of the folder I was in?

I know it is not a big deal, but it is not intuitive and fluent. imagine you are using your iPhone and when you go back to Home Screen, you have to do extra step of closing the folder you were in first.

what's with apple that they seem to have less refined system and focus on grand plan : compatible with iOS apps, make them look more the same,....hand of...etc. all great features but I hope to focus on other areas too
