iTunes match
If I subscribe to iTunes Match and I have downloaded a lot of music, including some I paid for thru iTunes, what happens to it if I cancel my subscription after a year? Do I lose everything?

You lose access to everything that is stored in the cloud apart from your iTunes purchases. Downloaded content remains on your computer. You should maintain a local backup.
