How do I fix error 8008 downloading music I never wanted to download and pausing my music constantly?

every time I listen to music an album tries to download that I never wanted to download. That causes my music to stop and also whenever listening to music I will get a notification to upgrade even though I've been using apple music since it started. what the **** is wrong with this slapped together trash software?
