Does either the iPencil or the iPen work on an iPad Air 2?
There is an Apple Pencil and an Apple Pencil 2.
Neither of these work with the iPad Air 2. You would need an iPad Air 3, a 7th or 8th generation iPad, or an iPad Pro.

Your iPad Air 2 is too old, it is missing a needed hardware screen layer needed for an Apple Pencil to work.
No iPad model made before late 2015 can use any version of the Apple Pencil.
