iPhone 12 iCloud photos
New iPhone 12 with 15 years of photos. Want to use iCloud photos. Says 10,000 photos uploaded in finder will be deleted. We use to use iTunes to sync before iCloud. Why? Are we losing photos?

One cannot sync photos to a device using both iTunes/Finder and iCloud as it’s one or the other. Therefore the message means that if you choose to use iCloud, all Finder synced photos will be removed.

Thanks. There are many people that have this problem. We use to keep everything on our computers or backup hard drive. Now it is in the cloud. I'm trying to catch up. 200gb of storage, Family Plan, is not enough for all our pictures.
You’re welcome. If the 200GB tier isn’t enough for Family Sharing, there’s a 2TB tier — Apple One - Apple.
