There is a black square on the left side of my ipad with an arrow pointing to the right that I cannot get rid of? How do I disable it?

A small black box with an arrow pointing to the right has suddenly appeared on my iPad. What is it for and how do I get rid of it?

Found it, It’s a switch in Accessibility under Voice Over. The little black box and arrow is gone! Thanks for your help Giulio. Stay Safe.

Try a "forced" restart your iPad:

  • On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top (power) button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
  • On other iPad models: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top (power) button. Only when the Apple logo appears, release that button (ignore all other screens that might appear).

Regards

Giulio
