Bluetooth on MacBook Pro will not turn on

Hi,


On my MacBook Pro with Big Sur I am trying to switch Bluetooth on by pressing on the Bluetooth icon in the menu bar at the top of the screen.


I toggle the button so that it goes pink, but then when I go to Bluetooth preferences it says that Bluetooth is still off.

I think this might be the reason for my Airdrop not working. Anyone know a fix for this please?

You can hold the Shift Option keys and click open the BT icon in the upper right menubar>Reset BlueTooth Module


if you your issue does not resolve verify BT module is recognized by the System


>(Option Key) System Information>Hardware>BlueTooth


you should see something similar to:



If not... you have a hardware issue:

Call Customer Support (800) MY–APPLE (800–692–7753)

or on line https://getsupport.apple.com/

or call AppleCare Support at 1-800-APLCARE (800-275-2273)
