How to delete the file I'm working on?
I have a Text Edit document open that I'm done using and want to delete it. Can I do so without having to use Finder to locate and delete the file?

If you had never saved that TextEdit document, then quitting the application would prompt you to either save it or Delete it. But, if you had saved it at least once, then it cannot be deleted from within TextEdit, and you would have to use Finder for that purpose.
