How do I change the Apple ID associated with an Apple Watch?

My daughter is loaning me her Apple Watch for a few weeks so I can see if I want one. She in-synced it from her phone and did a reset, but when I go to sync it with my phone, it still requires her Apple ID. What do people do when they sell their watches to another person?
