Suddenly, my daughters phone and mine seem to be doing the same thing in iMessage. For example, my wife is now “mom” in my messages because that is what my daughters phone has her as. I found that my daughters number and mine are both listed under iMessage and FaceTime but I can’t delete hers. It wants me to “de-register” her number. I am afraid to do that because I need hers to continue to work for her. Any suggestions?
Might you and your daughter be using the same Apple ID? If so, stop doing that immediately.

So, I was thinking our family sharing an Apple ID was the right way to set this up. We share Apple Music, locations, etc. Can this be done without sharing an ID?
