Wordart or something similar for Macbook?
Why is there no form of wordart for either the keynote or pages applications? Super disappointed :/

No-one here would know the reasoning behind any Apple policy, the contributors are all end users like yourself.
There are numerous resources on the on line Apple Store and a search on line provides unlimited resources, such as: https://www.makewordart.com

Apple has left this for 3rd party developers and instead seems to concentrate on presentation functionality.
For an inexpensive option for Wordart (and for other graphic capabilities), check out Logoist in the App Store.
