Why does it say I need to update my card information and won’t let me download anything?

this may be happening for various reasons
here are some suggestions: your cards may have expired, you may have accidentally removed your card from your payment information or you may have insufficient funds
you can check that by going to settings taping your Apple ID and then payment and shipping
