Setting up Messaging

I have been trying to set up messaging. So I can message my daughters iPad. I can't even set up messaging for anything else either. When I sign in, it keeps saying that an error occurred and to try again. It has been doing this for a week. Any different way to set up?

It’s unclear what device you are trying to use iMessages with. If you are using an iOS device, see this.
