Mail merging labels on Mac using Word version 16.43 (2019)

I used to use wonderful software called Labelist from Chronos. About five years ago they stopped supporting it and now it has failed completely. Warning: it's still available on the App Store. Don't touch it - it's past history. I tried using Word for Mac, latest version, and it's completely failing to merge my contact list to labels of any size. Can anyone recommend a labelling software that will allow me to mail merge from Contacts and perhaps add some graphics too. Labelist would only work up until High Sierra, but I have Word on both High Sierra and Mohave and it's not working on either.

I have the latest version of Word on my Mac but I find Avery Design and Print online to be far superior especially with merging. However it will not merge directly from Contacts on a Mac but will merge from Excel spreadsheets. You can drag all contacts from the Contacts app to a blank Numbers spreadsheet and then export that to Excel. See: https://www.avery.com/software/design-and-print/

I've printed my first sheet of parcel labels using Avery Design And Print Online!! Success!! I just did the addresses manually but got the design idea sorted out. Many, many thanks. I had a hellish day trying everything I could think of. All is well now. I'll play around with Numbers and Excel and figure out how to do a big batch of labels. You've saved me a sleepless night. You're an absolute star!! Thanks a million.

Thank you so much for your prompt reply! I'll certainly give it a go. I have a number of parcels to send, and it always looks so much better if they're typewritten on parcel labels. I'm intrigued at the idea of dragging my contacts into an Excel spreadsheet! Wow, I didn't know you could do that. I'm going to give that a go right now too, and check out the Avery design and print online. Many thanks!! Take care, stay safe!!
