2 Thunderbolt Ports and 3 4K displays

I am interested in purchasing a new 2020 MacBook Pro 16". I want to run 3 external 4k monitors off of it. My plan is to use a Brydge Stone Pro hub to support 2 of the monitors out of one of the Thunderbolt's. The third monitor would use the other Thunderbolt that is located ON THE SAME SIDE. Will that work?

Hi Van_Oldham,

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We understand you would like to know if you would be able to connect 3 displays to a 16" MacBook Pro.

"Simultaneously supports full native resolution on the built-in display at millions of colors and:

  • Up to two displays with 6016‑by‑3384 resolution at 60Hz at over a billion colors or
  • Up to four displays with 4096‑by‑2304 resolution at 60Hz at over a billion colors

Thunderbolt 3 digital video output

  • Native DisplayPort output over USB‑C
  • VGA, HDMI, DVI, and Thunderbolt 2 output supported using adapters (sold separately)"

You'll find additional information here: MacBook Pro 16-inch - Technical Specifications

For specifics regarding the hub you intend to purchase, you'll want to speak directly with the manufacturer, or consult their support options.

Cheers!
