How to block a subdomain / sub-website but NOT the parent website in IOS (iPhone / iPad)?

I am interested in blocking a specific subdomain / sub-website, but NOT the parent site.

To get to the setting I'm working with: on an iPhone or iPad: Settings > Screen Time > User > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Content Restrictions > Web Content > Never Allow > add the website.

Example with fake websites (if they're real, that's not my intention):

  • Parent website I do NOT want to block: www.xyz.com
  • Subdomain I WANT to block: www.xyz.com/subdomain

I tried to do this by entering the subdomain into the Never Allow area, but when I tested it in Safari, it would block the parent domain (www.xyz.com in example above). I tried it a few different ways (removing http://, removing www, etc.).

Does Apple's content restrictions allow for blocking of specific subdomains without blocking the parent domain? If so, how do I go about doing this?

Thanks for your help.

That's not a subdomain.

A subdomain would be something like subdomain.xyz.com if the parent were xyz.com

What comes after the / is literally just a directory on the host.

You could potentially block a subdomain, but that's not what you're trying to do. You're trying to block a small subsection of a single domain. I don't believe you're going to be able to do that.
