G4 to a Mac mini

Are both the Power Mac G4 and the Mac mini connected to the same network or are you just trying to transfer the data directly between them without a network? What exactly are you trying to transfer and what exact model is the mini and version of macOS is it running?

If you have a lot of data to transfer, then using a USB external drive would be a better option than over your local network.
