How do I find out what the warranty period is for a product that was purchased for me by my IT department (but they’re not going to give me that info)?

Enter the serial number at: link➡ Check Your Service and Support Coverage - Apple Support
If the IT dept purchased it, is it their product (meaning do they own it and you can use it while working there)? That may be the reason they won't tell you. In that case, if there is a problem, simply contact them and have them deal with whatever problem.

Thanks! It was under warranty and will be fixed. Appreciate the help. Our IT folks are not very informed about Apple products. They told me it was not under warranty and I should buy a new one. 🙄
