Resolution of external monitor connected to Mac mini

I have 2018 Mac mini with 10.15.7 Ver OS (Catalina). I have connected Eizo monitor with HDMI cable. I am getting resolution of 1920X1080. Eizo supports 2560X1440. In System Preferences when I go to Display and click on Scaled with "Option" key pressed, I am not able to see the 2560X1440 resolution to select. Any reason for this? Should I use any other cables like USB-C to HDMI/Display Port? Thanks a ton in advance.

I had the same issue with my Eizo monitor. It's very easy to resolve.

Here's the manual of your monitor:

https://www.eizoglobal.com/support/db/files/manuals/03V24788D1/UM-03V24788D1-EN.pdf

Go to page 16 and follow the steps to change the HDMI signal format to PC.

After doing that you'll get the normal default resolution.
