MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2011)

Update version 10.11.6 for a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2011) is the latest upgrade? If the answer is No, could I be able to swap this machine at least for a (Late 2013), or I presume should just discart as eletronic

rubbish.

Your 2011 laptop can run up to macOS 10.13 High Sierra. You can find links to the installer and also instructions for creating a bootable macOS USB installer (recommended as it gives you more options if something goes wrong).

FYI, after upgrading to High Sierra you gain the ability to access Internet Recovery Mode (Command + Option + R) to access the online macOS installer and utilities to repair the system.


Make sure to have a good backup before attempting the upgrade just in case something goes wrong.
