I’ve an iPhone 7 that’s recently updated to IOS 14.2 a week ago.
All of a sudden today a stack of my emails (not all) have disappeared from gmail account. Tried hard reset of phone, no success. Any ideas? Seems as though a lot of people have had similar issues over the years.

The iPhone only syncs from the gmail account server, If some emails are missing from the gmail account web server then please contact --> Gmail Help - Google Support
Good news, used Gmail support as suggested. I had been using the iPhone Mail app.
Downloaded the GMail app, searched for emails by name & found them straight away, which allowed me to move them into the inbox, folders, etc, etc.
