How do I connect my Apple Cinema LCD 20" Display to my 2020 Mac mini M1?

Mac mini 2018 or later

I have an old 20" Cinema Display - the one with a clear plastic bezel that's hooked up to my Mac Mini M1. That screen's ADC connector cable is plugged into an ADC-to-DVI converter that Apple sold years ago (found mine on eBay).


If you have an aluminium bezel screen, then you should have a DVI output and a DVI to DVI cable.


The DVI output connector needs to be plugged into a "Benfei" DVI to USB-C connector (available on Amazon), as this appears to be the only one that I've found to work properly. This is the listing for the USB-C to DVI converter I purchased in the UK store:
