I have an old 20" Cinema Display - the one with a clear plastic bezel that's hooked up to my Mac Mini M1. That screen's ADC connector cable is plugged into an ADC-to-DVI converter that Apple sold years ago (found mine on eBay).
If you have an aluminium bezel screen, then you should have a DVI output and a DVI to DVI cable.
The DVI output connector needs to be plugged into a "Benfei" DVI to USB-C connector (available on Amazon), as this appears to be the only one that I've found to work properly. This is the listing for the USB-C to DVI converter I purchased in the UK store:

Thank you, Dean. I have ordered that converter and will report back here on it's success or failure.
Well, I purchased the Benfei DVI to USB-C connector and it still didn't work. :-( Any other suggestions out there?
