Remove my photo from emails I send

A photo of me has started to appear in all my emails sent.

I do not recall having authorised that.

"My card" in "Contacts" does not have a photo of me or anything else.

Safari 13.1.2, Mail 11.5 (3445,9,7 )

MAc OS 10,13,6

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.13

Someone sends me an email containing a photo. The photo is small not full size. Apple Mail 12.4 Mojave 10.14.5 Incoming emails may contain a photo but it's quite small, not full size. If I pretend to forward the email the photo becomes large, filling the text area. I want to see photos that are sent to me full size without having to pretend to be forwarding them first. I don't see any choices in the Preferences to change this.

Mail not showing pictures Hi, sometime last week my Mail.app stopped showing me the pictures in emails. I was able to get the pictures bad by going to the Privacy tab in the preferences, disable "Protect Mail Acitivity" and uncheck "Hide IP address." So my question is not how to get the pictures back – but why were they gone in the first place without me changing anything in the settings? Why is hiding my IP address related to showing the pictures? And is my mail traffic less safe now?

When I removed the photo from "My card" the effect was not immediate.

After a restart following a full shut down the photo disappeared from my emails.
