Testing macbook air
I tried the test. It starts and the progress-bar comes up. It counts down from 4 min left to ”less than 1 min left” and there it hangs. Doesnt come any further. What can be wrong then? Is there another way of testing?

To verify, are you referring to an Apple Diagnostic?
If that’s getting stuck, try running an SMC and NVRAM on your Mac:
How to reset the SMC of your Mac
Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac
Try running the diagnostics once more after that and see if the issue is resolved.
If this isn't related to what's happening, please provide more details and we'll go from there.
