AirPods cut out, alert to turn on mobile data, mobile data already on

Recently my AirPods have started dropping out after about 20 minutes. I get an alert on my iPhone to turn on mobile data, but mobile data is already on. Bluetooth is on. I'm on the Verizon network, where I have unlimited data and way more mobile data than I use. iPhone and AirPods have plenty of charge left. I've tried rebooting the phone, resetting the connection. Nothing works. I used to be able to listen to podcasts no my hourlong walks; now I get only the first 15-20 minutes. Has anyone had this problem and figured out how to solve it?

Hi guixiu,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. We understand you're running into an error/alert regarding using your mobile data. We're happy to provide some information to help.

It sounds like the alert you're seeing it regarding enabled cellular data for the podcast app you're using. You can check that in Settings > Cellular, and ensure that Podcasts is enabled (showing green) there.

See more about that here: View or change cellular setting on iPhone

Thanks.
