Do you have to activate service on apple watch series 6?

If you mean cellular, no, it's not required. You can buy an Apple Watch with cellular and activate it later or never at all and it'll work just fine.

Okay cause a T-Mobile guy just told me the only way I could buy one is if I put cellular service to it.
