We understand that you're having some issues getting your Apple TV to accept your password.
What happens when you try to sign in? Is there an error message? Are you able to log in to iCloud without any issues?
If you haven't yet, try restarting your Apple TV, then test again. Check out restart Apple TV if needed.

If the iCloud website accepts your login details without any issues, before you delete the app from your Roku TV, try resetting the Apple TV app instead. Check out Reset the Apple TV app. If another Wi-Fi network is available, we would also recommend testing to see if the same occurs on multiple networks.
It would be fine to delete and reinstall the app as well. We hope those steps help.
