Pinned Note Disappeared!

I've always had iCloud on since it came out. I've had a note I've had for a very long time listing all my bills and their due dates. When "pinned notes" was introduced, I've had that specific note pinned at the top of my notes. I just bought a new MacBook Pro and opened notes for the first time on it, hoping to view it better on my laptop. It started syncing with iCloud, but when it did that it removed my pinned note completely and also erased the pinned note on my iPhone. In essence, my iPhone in turn mimicked my MacBook Pro to look exactly alike... with my pinned note gone. I've tried turning on/off iCloud and still have the same results. Please help! Thank you!
