My new iPhone max is not working on Apple Pay

my new iPhone max is not working on apple pay. Linked and verified to AMEX. Error code says not enough money in apple cash.


Set up must be wrong perhaps?

You may have Apple Cash set as your default card (although you can choose to use any card regardless of default). To change the default, go to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay and scroll down to Default Card.


To pay with a card other than the default, see the "Pay with a different card instead of your default card" section of How to use Apple Pay - Apple Support
