Follow these steps:

  • Remove any debris from the charging port on the bottom of your device.
  • Restart your device: iPhone. iPod touch.
  • Try a different USB cable or charger.
  • Make sure that you have the latest version of iOS.
  • Contact Apple Support to set up service.


If your iPhone or iPod touch won't charge - Apple Support

What do you mean for "properly"? What makes you think that?

If it is because it stops charging at 80%, see this support article at section "If your device stopped charging at 80 percent":--> If your iPhone or iPod touch won't charge - Apple Support

If, after following all the steps provided in the above article, the issue persists, have your device inspected at an Apple Store.


If you mean something different, please better specify your needs.
