Buying an IPad from a different country

I want to buy 2 iPads, the ones I am after are out of stock everywhere in the UK.

my parents live in Spain and they are in stock at their local department store.

man I right in thinking that as they are run through WiFi, buying the pads in Spain means they will work perfectly well here in the UK??
