Verification Required when downloading paid apps??

I am the organizer of my iCloud family. I share my payment method with all who are a part of my iCloud family, so all of their app purchases are charged to my credit card. All members are adults and are all set up that way. Every time my mom wants to download a paid app, she needs to put in a code from me. Attached is an example of the notification I receive. How do I stop this?? My mom is a mid-60’s woman whom I implicitly trust. This is ridiculous that she would have to get a code from me. Isn’t the whole point of adding (adult) folks to your iCloud family, and specifically sharing the organizer’s payment method with the family, to avoid this unnecessary step???

Thanks for providing those details. We'd recommend that you Contact Apple Support to work with an account specialist who can look into what's occuring with Family Sharing and your mother's account.

No one else in my iCloud Family has asked me for a code, so I suppose it may only affect my mom. My husband is also a member of my iCloud Family, and he downloads things regularly and I don’t receive verification codes for him.

I have the same issue with my wife's account in family sharing. I am the family organizer, and she is a parent/guardian. Any paid purchase she makes, Apple sends me the Verification Required prompt with a code. This happens even when she is trying to use a gift card added to her Apple ID.

It’s super frustrating! The whole point of making them an adult/parent/guardian in the iCloud family is so I don’t have to intervene when they want to do things. It’s super frustrating, especially since I’m not always by my phone when the the requests come through, which inevitably leads to a phone call.

We can see that your mom has to go through a verification process when purchasing an app. Do you only experience this with your mom's account? Does she also have to do this with free downloads?
