Unless you house your messages in iCloud, messages are saved on your iPhone backup. Restore the backup to retrieve the messages that were present when the backup was created.

You do back up your iPhone, right? If not, when your iPhone no longer functions, you will lose everything on it - photos, texts, contacts, etc.

If your iPhone was never backed up, those messages are gone.

If that is still your most current backup and the messages were present when the backup was created, then restoring the backup as directed in the article I linked in my first response will restore the messages.
I do not know if my messages are housed in iCloud. I’ve gone to iCloud.com and there are no options to select text messages. So you are saying they are stored in my iPhone back up? I have no idea what that means😞. A job depends on finding these for text messages in November. I would appreciate if you could really be gentle and help me a little bit more
The last back up is 4 AM this morning. And iCloud automatically backs up. But thank you for that information I did not know that.
You seem smart. This phones been backed up since I got it which is over a year ago. The text messages that were deleted was probably the end of October to beginning of November there’s only two. Do you think that I can get them back?
If the messages were present when the back up is created. That is the million dollar question. When you say present what exactly do you mean? What if I already had deleted them when the up back up was created? Thank you for your patience and my dumb questions♥️

Then they would be gone.
Backup takes a picture of what’s on your iPhone. If the messages are present, they’re in the picture. Otherwise they’re not.
If the messages were deleted at picture time, they were not present.
