Two Monitor Multicam Viewing

Hi,

I am new to Multicam editing on FCPX and was wondering if its possible to have my "Angles" viewer on one monitor (my main) and have what is currently "live" on another.

Thanks!

Not exactly placing the viewer in a separate display, as you say, but -depending on how your external display connection and settings-there may be a good solution for you.

FCP supports an “AV Output” feature. That outputs a full screen output from your timeline.

It can be used with some specialized hardware but also with HDMI displays; but only if the display is set to a video resolution (like 1080p or 4K). I use it often with my MBP connected to a 24” HDMI display.
