Fitness Not Connecting to Apple Watch on Apple TV

I was able to solve this issue by going into my Apple TV settings There is one new thing there with a big red circle saying my attention was needed. When I went in it directed me to pair my phone with the Apple TV. As soon as I did this Apple Fitness paired with my watch and I then got to do a 40 minute HIIT Workout! YaY me!

I had this problem with my Apple TV HD and my Apple Watch Series 4 updated to 7.3. I had to do a full reset and update on my Apple TV and that fixed it. Paired immediately after the Apple TV came back online.

I was having the same issue. I restarted my Apple TV and turned my watch off/on again and it has been working fine since then.

This is probably the simplest step, but out of the box the Apple TV wasn’t connecting. I was able to get it to sync once I restarted my watch.

I had the same issue today. I was able to finally work around the issue by starting the workout on my iPhone and air playing it to the Apple TV. Not ideal, but at least I was able to workout.

I am in the same boat, but my iPhone (despite being the source of the Apple Fitness subscription)- does not show the Workouts in the Fitness App. And I just keep getting "Pairing Canceled" on my Apple TV. Super frustrating....

I have the same issue and tried all the suggestions on this thread. The main reason for purchasing an apple tv was for fitness+. Not a happy customer.

I’ve erased my watch, and the Apple TV twice- no dice.

Had the same issue. In my case there was no red dot at the AirPlay settings. I did two things that solved it. One is to have my iPhone also paired with the Apple TV, and the other to reboot my Apple TV and Watch, and then immediately try to re-pair the watch. It worked.

I had this issue too. I created a support case with Apple, and they did not have an answer either. However, after much troubleshooting, I have appeared to resolve my issue. The "Home" Setup on the Apple TV was never completed. Once I did this, it started working 100% of the time.

On the Apple TV go to Settings > AirPlay and HomeKit. I selected the Room to change the Name, and then it paired my phone with the Apple TV, setting up "My Home".

Go back to the Fitness App and it should pair.
